Therapeutic Services
For couples, individuals and families who carry the weight of heritage, history, and hope—and still long to feel understood.
Couples Therapy
Romantic love is powerful—and when two people come from different family or foreign cultures, spiritual orientation, or generational backgrounds, it can bring both richness and complexity. I work with multicultural and interfaith couples to help them navigate the unspoken expectations, communication gaps, and cultural values that may shape how each partner gives and receives love. Whether you're facing tension around family roles, traditions, language, or religion—or simply trying to feel more understood—I offer a space where both of your stories matter. Using approaches grounded in attachment, emotional responsiveness, and cross-cultural sensitivity, we’ll explore what connection, trust, and shared meaning look like for you. Together, we’ll work toward deepening your bond, honoring your differences, and creating a relationship that feels safe, balanced, and resilient—no matter where you each come from.
As a first-generation individual, love and relationships can feel especially layered. You may be carrying values from your family of origin while also trying to create something different for yourself—something that reflects who you are today. Whether you're navigating dating, partnership, or patterns shaped by cultural expectations, I offer a space where we can untangle the push and pull between your roots and your desires. We’ll explore how family roles, unspoken obligations, and early attachment experiences show up in how you relate to others—emotionally, physically, and even spiritually.
Individual Therapy
Loving yourself doesn’t always come naturally—especially if you were raised with criticism, unrealistic expectations, or emotional disconnection. In our work together, we’ll use a combination of psychodynamic therapy to explore the roots of your self-worth and DBT-based skills to support emotional regulation, self-acceptance, and boundary-setting. If you're struggling with self-doubt, body image, people-pleasing, or a relentless inner critic, you’ll find a compassionate space here to understand and gently shift those patterns. Together, we’ll rebuild your relationship with yourself—one grounded in truth, curiosity, and kindness. Learning to love yourself is often the foundation for healthier, more fulfilling connections in every other part of your life.
Family Therapy
Family love can be both foundational and fraught. Many of us carry deep love for our families while also holding pain from unmet emotional needs, rigid expectations, or generational patterns that were never questioned. If you’re navigating tension with parents, siblings, or extended family—especially as a first-generation or multicultural individual—you might feel torn between honoring your family and honoring yourself. In our work together, we’ll explore how roles, boundaries, guilt, and loyalty have shaped your relationship with your family of origin. We’ll gently make space for grief, anger, and compassion, and begin untangling what belongs to you and what you’ve inherited. In our work together, we may use a psychodynamic approach to explore family-of-origin patterns and inherited emotional roles. We may also incorporate DBT tools for boundary-setting and distress tolerance. Whether you're healing from a narcissistic parent, managing sibling tension, or learning how to stay connected without self-abandonment, therapy offers the support to reclaim your voice and reimagine your role within your family.
Adolecent Therapy
When I work with adolescents, I work with the whole family. Teens don’t grow or struggle in isolation—their emotional world is shaped by the systems around them. My approach is rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when families grow together. Rather than placing all the focus on the teen as “the problem,” I help parents and caregivers understand the deeper emotional needs behind their child’s behavior, while also creating space for the adolescent’s voice to be heard and respected Using emotionally focused and attachment-based approaches, I create a space where both teens and parents feel heard and respected. Together, we’ll work to strengthen connection, reduce conflict, and help each member of the family feel more understood. Therapy becomes a bridge—between cultures, generations, and hearts.
Walk-and-Talk
Sometimes, sitting still makes it harder to access what’s really going on inside. That’s why I offer walk-and-talk therapy—a dynamic approach that blends traditional talk therapy with gentle movement in nature. Walking side-by-side can feel less intense than sitting face-to-face, and for many clients, the rhythm of walking helps thoughts and emotions flow more freely. As we walk, we invite the body into the healing process—releasing tension, grounding into the present moment, and creating space for clarity and insight. Whether you're feeling emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or just more comfortable in motion, walk-and-talk sessions can offer a refreshing and powerful way to process your experience.
